Creating First Page


To create dynamic pages on MyEzApp site, you will need an MyEzApp account. To sign up for a new account, please go to the MyEzApp homepage and click the "Sign Up" link on the right hand side. It only asks for a valid email address and the sign up is free. Once you sign up, we will send you an email to the registered email address. You need to click the link contained in the email to activate your account. Once you activate your account, you can login into MyEzApp site.


Once you login into your account, the first page you see is your homepage. On your homepage, there are several icons which are grouped into three different areas - System, Application, and People. The System area contains system functions, such as Explorer, Account, etc. The Application area contains applications you can use. The People area displays your selected contacts. Clicking on the contact icon will navigate to the contact's MyEzApp site.


On your homepage, you will see an icon with the name "Files" under it. Clicking on the icon, the browser will open up the explorer page. Explorer is designed similar to the explorer application on the desktop computer. On the left hand side, there is a tree structure that contains all your files and folders. On the right hand side, there is the working area. For you to create the first page, you just need to click the "New" button at the upper left corner of explorer. Once you click the "New" button, you will see a pop-up window asking for folder name and file name. Enter desired names and click the Create button. After clicking the create button, you will see an online Star Script editor showing up on the right hand side. Now you can write your first page.


Enter the text Hello World! into the edit area and click run, you should see the text Hello World! displayed below the edit area. Congratulations! You have created your first Star Script page.


To run the page outside editor, just click the "View" button. The URL in your browser address bar is the address of your new page. The format of the URL is http://s.myezapp.com/loginid/foldername/filename.ws


To create a hello world page that contains MyEzApp page header and footer, you just need to use the ezpage component. Below is an example:

use /comp/ezpage <ezpage>   Hello World! </ezpage>

Going back to the explorer page, you should see all your files and folders. Just click on the files ending with ".ws", you will open up an editor for that page. Now you can modify the page as you wish and save your changes.
